The Power of Krav Maga

Take it to the next Level

Krav Maga

Techniques

The number of techniques in Krav Maga is therefore deliberately kept low. The techniques are based on simple and natural reflexes and are therefore easy to remember even with little training.

Krav Maga deals with threats and assaults, with and without weapons.

However, no great distinction is made between an armed and an unarmed attack: the techniques are the same in principle.
Krav Maga is characterized by its closeness to reality.

This is also evident in training, when training is done not only from all positions (lying, standing, sitting), but also under a wide variety of conditions (e.g. in the dark, in a stairwell, on the asphalt).

Krav Maga

Training

In Krav Maga, special emphasis is placed on training under strong physical exertion – simulating the stress of an assault – as well as training in posed scenarios.

Krav Maga is a flexible system that is constantly being adapted to the requirements of the civilian and professional sectors and further developed for the needs of self-defense, self-protection and self-assertion.

Krav Maga is purely focused on self-defense and self-protection. There are no predetermined forms in Krav Maga, no competitions, no traditions and rituals. The focus on the aspect of self-defense also shapes the training, which is different from other martial arts: From the beginning, learners are focused on efficiency and effectiveness in order to protect themselves.

Even athletic exercises for strengthening and endurance are combined with technical elements in Krav Maga to serve as preparation for self-defense techniques.

Martial arts are often oriented towards competitions to measure forces and thus submit to rules to fight fair duels. In Krav Maga there are no rules, just as in real confrontations there are no rules to which all parties to the conflict adhere. The only rule that applies in Krav Maga at all times, whether in training or in a real conflict, is: don’t hurt yourself – „don’t get hurt“!

Rules

In Krav Maga it is important to treat training partners with respect.
